just got back...x-ray of lungs showed there was some inflamation, but it's ok now. My hepa said it's enough. I am taken off from both riba and peg. Weird thing is, my WBC/Neu are really high and i haven't taken neupogena (WBC 7,4 Neu 5,9)? Might be something i ate before blood draw? (i took paracetamol, some honey and had one meal)

now it's time for PCR full blood/urine/hormonal check. Doc said i should rest and up the vitamins intake.

Yes, I was taking antibiotics while on treatment and after. I had no choice. They were about to admit me to the hospital! Dr. okayed everything!

wokeup with hi temp again 38.6C (101.4F), popped another paracetamol. Trying to find out is my hepa available today (i do not trust ER guys, i had bad experience once), and my GP is pretty much only good for prescriptions (and hard to reach).

if i do not reach my hepa today, i will have to go to ER i guess. I do not like where is this going ;(

Damn Zlikster and you still hanging in there. You been a true fighter on this treatment. Sure hope the fever subsides. Very good luck to you.

From what I`ve read, an acute inflammation or an infection can cause your neutrophils and wbc to increase, Zlikster, so that could be it.  Anyway, I`m sure your doctor has made the right decision, and thank goodness you`ve finished with tx now!  What a relief!  It sounded like you`d reached the limit of what your body could take, and actually you`ve done so well to stick it out this far, very well done! 

Rest and recuperation is what you need now, so take it easy and take good care of yourself.  All the best of luck with your EOT results!

Hi Zlikster, I had an infected tooth towards the end of my tx so had to have a course of antibiotics, and I know of others who`ve also taken them while on tx.   Hope you get hold of your hepatologist today.  Hang on in there, you`ve come this far and coped with everything the meds have thrown at you... you`ll get through this as well!  smile 

Keep us updated...and take plenty of rest!

Hey z! All things considered, i hope you are doing okay! FYI, the interferon did a number on my lungs. I was on antibiotics for a while. You may want to get that checked out! I had bronchitis ayou if you do, you don't Want it to turn in to pneumonia!!! Take care of yourself!!

With the compromises currently going on throughout your body and with the immune system  going overboard, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised that your fever is due to it. Because you didn't experience the problem with fevers when you were young and healthy really shouldn't be applied now. You've never been as susceptible to illness as you are right now. If you don't improve SOON, don't delay seeking treatment! If you were to come down with pneumonia at this stage you could have a hard time shaking it, of course you're well aware of that. Be so careful now that you overdo it! Good luck!

managed to bring it down to 37.6C (99.6F) with a lukewarm bath and i guess paracetamol works. Still feels odd, i never had high body temp from shots (not even from a first one, when i had worst fever in my life). I don't get high body temp from flu, either, maybe 0.5 more than usual. I had maybe twice in my life high body temp (over 100F that i recall). I got some genetics from mom i guess, since  we both have lower normal body temp.

i just hope it's not infection, cause i prolly have only one (old n grumpy) neutrophile left to fight it off ;-D

Poor you, Zlikster, that`s not too good.. hmm  I wouldn`t be surprised if your high temperature was caused by an infection of some kind as your immune system is below par at the moment with your decreased wbc.  I`m glad you`ve taken some paracetamol, that should help get your temperature down.  Drink plenty of liquids and rest till you feel better.  Don`t hesitate to phone your doctor if you don`t start feeling better soon.

Oh no :(. Maybe it's just an illness and not something from the meds. If it's from the meds..I don't think that it would be a good sign to have a temp that high. I'm not much help in that department though. Hope it comes down and stays down for you.

i got lite fever for 2nd day, i thought it was usual peg biz, but it's Mon nite (getting peg on Sat) and i still got fever. Went to my mom's for a dinner and she noticed i was shaking, measured body temp t was 39C (102F)! Measured it couple of time mores, all in +-0.2 range. I dont feel like i am on that high body temp, but i can feel my eyes burning. I hope it's not some infection (cough is heavy n present too), as i am so close to finish tx ;( hope i wont end up on ER

anyone has experince with high temp this late after shot?

i have just taken paracetamol, hope it's gonna work...

Hi, Zlikster,I experienced fever to last 6 days after peg shot. Only one time. Others are 2--4 days.
