I used benedryl every night while on treatment. Don't know what I would have done without it.

I am glad sharing about benadry helped!  Angelo has his ups and downs through the day.  Sometimes he looks and feels so "normal", other times he's so out of it both  mentally and physically.

We have an appointment with his DR. next tuesday to discuss his two weeks lab results.

Strange how last year at exactly this time, I was going through my Cancer ordeal and under a lot of stress, yet as bad as it was, this year it is so much harder for me because I am so worried about my husband.

I know that God will give us both the strenght to get through this and come out desease free!

You are all in my prayers!

Mena

It so deeply saddens me but it never ceases to amaze me what your medical insurance programs force you to do. If they can't sell it to you and make a huge buck. they will make it illegal regardless of the truth. I will pray for all of you that have to suffer the this inhumanity that is forced upon you.

Keep in mind that many patients, especially those on study programs, are tested for any number of chemical agents, Cannabis is one of them. If you don't have specific authorization to use it, your study will be terminated immediately. I'm also being treated with meds that require random screening per the US DEA to remain qualified to receive them. Again, if I test positive for Cannabis or any other controlled substance, treatment terminated. My point being, regardless of the efficacy of Cannabis in resolving unwanted side effects, be sure it's use doesn't disqualify your medical treatment.

Could it be that all the side effects are from an allergic type reaction and that is why benadryl works? Perhaps it keeps his body from rejecting the meds so harshly. In any case, I'm happy that it has worked so well for him!

What a God sent has benadryl been for my husband.  He had been having so much trouble keeping food, water and MEDS down. It was breaking my heart seeing my husband like that.  Holding my breath everytime he took a zip of water or swallowed his pills, for fear that everything was going to come up...and then where would he be?

Anyway after reading info here about an anti-nausea med I called the Dr. and asked him to give Angelo  something that would help him keep everything down.  He said that before he would prescrive compazine, he wanted Angelo to try  Benadryl 25. mg. 2 x  day and see what happens.

Guess what?  So far it has made a new man out of my husband.  The difference is incredible. Besides helping with the nausea, it also helps with dizziness making him  feel more steady when he gets up or moves around.

Has anyone else used benadryl for nausea?

Mena

Glad you have found something to help. This new triple therapy has knocked me down to wheel chair status, Should that stop working you should try something god created for our use for many medical remedies it's called Cannabis. It's a natural plant that grows over 70% of the world and has been used and acclaim for its wondrous properties well over 5000 years. when eaten in a cookie or brownies. it seems to get rid of all the side effects for about 3-4 hours. I am very fortunate to live in a place that recognizes it's medical applications and legally do so. If you really want to stop feeling like a total bag of crap day in and day out you should give his non addictive herb a try. Should you have any doubts, read some of the newest studies out of medical universities through out the world.
