 geno 1, started peg and riba 7/5/13, now 29th day is vicrellis ***tonib VL started 6 million, after 5 weeks 374,000, after 8 weeks 150,000....the big test for VL is 9/27 at 12 weeks  TAKEN OFF THERAPY JUST NOT WORKING FOR ME...12 WEEKS STILL HAVE 9000 VL

     well congrats!!!!! i'm amazed how well it's working for everyone. the 2ofu keep on plugging one day at a time.

     oh you're right about the benadryl,now i'm on rx nausea pills. also i always carry saltines w/me and it seems to work.

     wow that's great news! this stuff is so powerful how could it not work.... just take it one day at a time especially because you're working in that heat.

Angelo has his two weeks blood work done on Tuesday. Today I called the Dr. to get a prescription for Compazine ( Benedryl might have reached its max benefit and no more). While I had the nurse on the phone, right before hanging up I asked her if the results from the lab were in.

She said " Yes they are and they are incredible."  I said are you sure you are looking at the right chart?

She said " Yes of course. Actually the Dr. was so pleased with the results, he really did not expect them to be so good.

The V/L has gone down tremendously and his Hemoglobin and Hemocrit levels  have stayed the same.

She also added that if he continued this way , the treatment would be shorter than the 48 week we had discussed.

We have an appointment on tuesday and will discuss the progress further.

Needless to say " I have thanked GOD a thousand time today and always!l\

Glad to hear that everything is going ok for you so far. I start sometime after the 22nd on the triple tx. Second time around for me...first time was just the two meds. Best wishes and hang in there!

Type 1a. Had HCV my entire life via blood transfusion. Did peg & riba in 2000, relapsed. Did triple tx with sovaldi in early 2014 & I am now undetected

Got back from the clinic today and doc reviewed latest blood panel. (VL test in 2 more weeks)

Looks like liver numbers are getting back to normal AST 38, ALT 66. Down from AST 61, ALT 128.

I'll take whatever good clinical news I can get. Appears something is working.

Hemoglobin and Hemocrit are on the high side of normal and WBC down a small notch to 5.8 from 6.1

RBC and RDW are still high (ex-smoker with sleep apnea) Doing a sleep study next week with a CPAP...should help.

Riba brain fog is pretty crappy. Staying slightly dizzy-ish, ears ringing and I zone out a lot. Taking lots of extra notes at work and the guys that work for me are doing an great job picking up the slack and keeping me organized.

Just walking out to the car after work in this Texas heat zaps all the energy. So far all sx are pretty bearable, just a nuisance. Keeping on with my normal routine and pretending everything is just fine.

Getting ready for pin number 3 at the Friday Night Darts Club. Fingers crossed for my 4 week VL test, but regardless of the results I'll keep plowing ahead until the doc says to stop.
