Thanks everyone for all the support, well wishes, and comments. Energy level is up already (I've been moving to different town). Hopefully the brain and rest will follow. smile

I put a lot on hold during treatment. I am looking forward things being different.

time for captain Recovery to kick in ;)

congrats for getting thru buddy!

from my own personal ongoing recovery experience, wbc gonna bounce back REALLY fast now that there is no more extra added interferon circulating, as for Riba toxicity seems it indeed takes a lot of time (up to 6months) to clear. I have shaved my head round 20th week on tx, since i was getting a lot of thin hair falling out, so i can't still say how is that part of system recovering. I don't care much for hair tho I am experiencing huge appetite increase. Hope i will stop at my proper weight otherwise...huh

I can't do much of body training/muscle recovery, since my broken/badly healed left upper arm bone won't let me any hard work (waiting for operation), but my legs/walking energy is back

keep posting about how recovery goes, good thing to keep track of it, like we did while on tx. Tho i tend to overdo it sometimes (as my hepa said "too much analysis, causes paralysis")


PS: just got email from my hepa. she said FibroScan unit is finally arriving in Bosnia in September...no more looking around for it!

Hi Dillo,

Congratz on getting to the end. With your 4 week Undet. , 24 weeks should be your EOT, and your chances of SVR are excellent. Time to have a rest, and let the poisons disappear. Recover quickly!

Very well done, Dillo, congrats on getting through your 24 weeks, it takes a lot of determination and perseverance!  Now for some well needed rest and recuperation!

Congrats, I just did shot 4 and I feel like I have been this way my whole life, and I will never be the same again.....but that could be a good thing?

I am at wk 24 EOT. Still have to visit the Doctor on Monday to get his blessing but he did a VL the 16th and it came back UND. For some reason he did another this week also along with thyroid and my usual blood test. So barring a mistake on the last VL I should be stopping tx.

I am not too worse for wear considering it was only 24 week My hair is super thin  (whats left of it) emotions are still all over the place but better just knowing I don't have to take the Peg tonight and I am debating taking my last dose of Riba this evening. I have actually done 24 wks and 2 days so I figure if it's still a problem now I'll have to think of different treatment in the future.

I just wanted to say to those on treatment I know it's hard and depressing when you see how far you have to go still and how you feel but it is worth it...at least I think it was. I spent a lot of time debating treatment looking at options and decided I could do that forever and it still wasn't going to get any better...just worse.   It was my time and I am glad now I took it.

Without this forum and the people, their knowledge and friendship it would have been a lot harder.

Take care of yourself. I'll be checking back in from time to time.
