Side effects are rough, just did my 45 shot of peg and also eprex which is for my low hemo.  cold yes, had flannel sheets on bed until Mid July, socks and dressed early, I call it the 15 step marathon as tired and need a nap.  Spouse walke out at week 40 so I have had a PSW come in and my girls are behaving and along with a higher power they are watching over me.  The weeping I hope goes away not depressed just seems start have eyes water and run for a bit.  I am near the end and can see the light at the end so hang in there.  If an old fart from the north can make it so can you, out thought and support are with you

Bill

Hi Amanda, and welcome to the forum!  I`m glad you found us, sounds like you`ll be glad to have some support from people who understand what you`re going through.

Sorry you`re having such a rough time with side effects, but having an undetectable viral load so early on into treatment means you`re responding very well and I`m sure it will be worthwhile in the end, even though it might not seem like it now.  Going through treatment certainly isn`t easy for most people and takes a lot of determination, but make sure to get as much rest and relaxation as you can, and just take each day as it comes.

You`ve lost a lot of weight in a short space of time, so try your best to eat regularly.  Good nourishment can be very helpful with your mood and general feeling of wellbeing. The neupogen shots should be helping with getting your WBC level back up by now I hope.

Would you mind telling us what your genotype is and which treatment drugs you are taking?  That sort of information helps us when replying to you.

Wishing you all the best, stick with it and stay in touch!  ~ Jill

I had the leg cramps real bad..especially when it was cold. The shortness of breath is also a pain. I could barely go up 4 steps without taking a breather. Goes away after treatment, so all this crap is only temporary..Hopefully there will be SVR in your future..

Best of luck ~Bob~

PS. I was also on Neupogen

MY worst side effects are fatigue, increased depression, crying and I was on an antidepressant before tx.  I got put on Wellbutrin twice a day also.  About week 6 my WBC were low that the Dr. put me on Neopagan shots once a week.  I noticed when my WBC was really low I used to get episodes where I would start to freeze my temperature would drop, lips turn blue whole 9 yards!  I have noticed my leg muscles ache when I was a short distance and I have to stop to break, also my breathing is a little worse I get short of breath easy.  I also have muscle twitches on my arms legs etc. out of the blue.  I just have no ambition to do anything...I may only have to take tx for 16 weeks since just after 2 weeks no viral load which is good.  I also lost weight 14 pounds from the end of may until the 1st week of July.  I hope all these side effects are worth it in the end.
