Hi Carol,

Don't be impatient as the rate of clearance of the Riba varies from person to person. It took me 3 months to start to feel normal, and at 6 months post, I still have a way to go physically. Hope you enjoy your trip. Cheers.

Thank you.  He already seems to be doing better.  We are going on a Caribbean cruise in 6.5 months, so I am hoping he gets his SVR at the 6 month mark.

Hi Carol,

Glad to hear the end of treatment for your husband has come.  Like you, I supported my husband through treatment and it's a tough ride.  He finished about 7 weeks ago.  There was an immediate sense of feeling better and more alive.  However he is still experiencing aches and pains and a foggy memory which is driving him mad!  He's doing crossword puzzles in the evening (which I have never seen him do in my life) to try and get back his sharpness.  From everything I've read on the forum, it seems that your husband will take a few months to recalibrate again.  All the best as you take this journey together and for SVR for your hubby.  Caroline

Good luck to you and your husband Carol! After all I've read your husband should feel better with each passing day! It has to be nice not having to remember to take those pills everyday. I wish him all the best! biggrin

Last pill was on Thursday, and after only one day of being off all meds, my husband already has 80% less heartburn, which was his main side effect.  He will be doing his 24 week viral load test in about 10 days.

Hi Carol. I am a little over two weeks post treatment. I began to feel better about a week after tx. Better again after two. Less irritable and emotional now and it gets better everyday.

Hope he feels better soon and has a speedy recovery from tx.

He will get better within few weeks or sooner!
It took me 2 months as I was on 48 weeks
And last month did me in. I feel splendid
Most every morning now and I use to feel like
Someone hit me in the face every morning when I woke.
Glad to read he is near the end of tx!!!
He is blessed with a good wife.

Thanks everyone!  Can't wait until this is all over.  My husband can get very irritable at times on treatment, and I just want it to be over!

Yay Carol, bet you guys are happy. I started feeling better the following week. Just the idea of no more treatment drugs made me feel great. Gradually feeling better every day.

Good luck.

Hi Carol,

So glad to hear that his last pill is coming up. Everyone is different, so it's hard to predict , but when all shots and pills are done he'll begin to feel better day by day.

My husband's last pill of treatment is this coming Thursday.  Do you know when he will start to feel somewhat better again?

Thanks,

Carol
