Take control of your health...your treatments.  I am having issues with my doctor, so looking for new one.  It is your health, and your future.  Do what you have to do for yourself.  Good Luck to you.

Thanks Malcolm, that's what I thought too. I had originally figured Dec 05th and lost a week, that's why I put down Nov 28th. There is another example of my foggy reasoning and I'm sitting here with a calendar, lol!! That's why I asked for your opinion and I was right to ask, thank you. I saw something you said earlier and then checked with Victrelis, so I had a pretty good idea what your answer would be. You're experience and knowledge on this disease has been helpful for all of us and I for one am so grateful for your dedication to us. You continue to honor your medical oath and we all owe you a great deal of appreciation! Thank you...

Hi Tig,

I understand your frustration. The failure to get a 8 week VL has left you open to guesswork. With my doc, if you were detected at week 8 but Undet at week 12, you'd do 48 weeks. I guess he's assuming you would have been Undet at week 8??  Even so, RGT demands 24 weeks of Victrelis, and by my reading of a calendar, that means you finish on 4th Dec. Read him the RIOT act!! Cheers.

I believe I've discovered a serious error on my Hepa's part and would appreciate your opinion on this. First I thought that due to his failure to perform the VL at week 8 that I would have to take treatment out to 48 weeks. Well my week 12 was UND and the decision was made to end treatment at week 24 anyway. I questioned his decision but he convinced me that it wasn't necessary to do that. I hesitantly agreed and the decision was made to stop at 24. Well I just did some figuring and the numbers don't seem to add up right. The EOT date is scheduled for Oct. 31. My start date was May 23rd, and on June 20th I started Victrelis. My question is this: Shouldn't my Victrelis treatment be 24 weeks total and my overall treatment be carried out through week 28? Even my foggy brain seems to come up with Oct 31st as only week 24 OVERALL and only week 20 of the Victrelis regimen. If my figures are correct, shouldn't my real EOT date be Nov 28th?  I lose my pharmacy coverage because my insurance is canceling my policy on Jan 01st. I've got to get this straightened out now before I make any changes to my insurance. I can't believe this is even an issue! Why in the world is this something I discovered instead of the office I trusted to make these decisions for me? Such a disappointing realization! I would appreciate your thoughts on this Malcolm and anyone that may have a clearer understanding of the calendar! Thanks!
