I wouldn't worry about left over Riba, left over Victrelis would be a different story. Good luck to you all.

guys,

thanks for taking the time to figure all this out for me.  i 'm on the 6 month tx/24 wk program. you guys are right about dec.3rd for inciveck comes in 28 day supplies.( 28 x 6=168 and 30 x 6=180 ) ribo comes in 30 day supplies,so that's where the confusion lies.  of course having low cbc's doesn't assist w/all this calculating. will wait for definite answer from dr. on 10/21.

teddy;great idea about donating extras. my dermo & dentist volunteer at  an aids/hepc wing in a nearby hospital. i've expressed an interest in working w/ them & will now mention the extra meds as well. be well, you're almost there!

tig; we both finish the same week...wow! your cbcs are similiar to mine. my wbc=2.7,rbc=3.4 and hemo=8.8 as of 10/4/13. i guess dr is going to increase procrit for me or back for more transfusions. just think only 8 more wks to go!!!!!!

It's a shame that we can't donate the leftovers but I guess it's all for the sake of safety. While we personally know the quality of anything we might donate, there are those that unfortunately don't have the best interests of others in mind.

Congratulations go out to you for your nearing completion date! Good luck and my wish that you have many happy and healthy days ahead! Perhaps you could have a "Torch the Dragon" party upon completion and burn your remaining medications as part of the celebration! (Fire Ordnances permitting!)

Hi all, I have 4 days left and I'm totally finished my 48 weeks of Victrelis. I to have a lot of overage that I'm just going to toss out. 4 weeks of Riba, 1 dart kit sealed, 5.5 days of Victrelis. I was dose reduced by 1 pill of Riba and because I didn't use a 4 slot pill container right away and have a reliable alarm system to use and heavy brain frogs jumping around and impairing my thoughts, I ended up taking to many Ribas and Vics for the first week or two. I was issued a full week of meds extra to fill in the shortages I created. I feel really bad that I can't donate or give this overage to others who may be could use them to fill in some of their supply gaps. I am basically I throwing out about $2500.00 CND. that some one could really use.

Hi Sandy,

What to do with the remaining Riba is really up to your new Doctor. As you were Undet. after only 17 days of triple, you probably only need the 24 weeks, even on the reduced Riba.

As Tig said, EOT should be 3rd. December. Cheers.

Hi Sandy, let me see if my figures make any sense to you. If you started treatment on 6/19, and are on a 24 dart schedule, the last dart would be on day 168 or Nov. 27th. I'm on the 28  dart schedule or day 196 w/(24 weeks Victrelis). If you are on that same 28 week regimen, your last dart would be on Dec. 25th (Christmas!). I couldn't find your treatment regimen and my memory fails me right now, sorry. Where did you arrive at that 180 day calculation? Your last dart should be on the same day of the week that you did your first one, unless you changed the day for some reason. Do my dates agree with your treatment schedule? If I've missed something let me know and I'll look again. But from my figures your 24 week date is Nov. 27th and the 28 week date is Dec.25th. Hope this helps! xo

As for my most recent CBC 10/9:

RBC - 3.1

WBC - 2.3  (150mg Neupogen 2 x week) 7 injections and it has only risen by .5. I don't know            if that's much at all really! I thought it would be higher by now.

HB - 10.0

HCT - 30.8

thanks for the tips.  my dr. appt is on 10/21 so i'll just be patient for the answers.

tig, i have a ? about my eot date as well. my start date was 6/19/13. when i count 180 days i come to  12/14/13. according to my calculations

that means i have to do 25 darts. can't keep track of darts for my old dr foolishly didn't give me self-injectors for the 1st month. i have 3 darts left

from that box, and  5 more self-injectors left. i think that means  i only have to do 8 more darts. dealing w/ sx, dr. appts.,nurses aides and sanity is challenging enough. any insight?  also how are your hemo, rbc and wbc counts?

Hey there, I had some riba left over also from my medication vacation after the Incivik. I had about a week and 1/2 left over which I didn't finish and my NP didn't mention it also.

But you have a whole month left. That's a good question for the doc in my opinion. I'm happy to hear you are almost done!

That's a difficult question to answer. I would think that you probably won't have to, but that is entirely your doctors call as far as necessity. Malcolm will be better able to provide you with this information. Good luck!

i have 2 more months left of tx,but a 3 month supply of ribo left. my old dr. had me on 0 ribo for 2 weeks and severe reduction for 3 weeks due to low hemoglobin, rbc and wbc. am i correct in assuming i will be taking them & making my eot 7 months, not 6? if dr says i don't need to do so,should i insist along w/ requesting 4 extra darts ? i  want to ensure i get that svr 6 mo. eot. no sense in messing this up after all the fighting i've done. any insight would be greatly appreciated.
