You must be really happy! It made me smile re-gripping on to the Riba pills, I can imagine this :D

Now is time to rebuild your strength and on the road to recovery. I hope it is smooth and excitement free. Take a well earned rest! Congrats! :D

Hi Sandy, very well done, you made it to the end, congrats!!  Give yourself a big pat on the back and be proud of your achievement..it certainly hasn`t been an easy journey for you but you`ve shown great strength and determination all the way through.

Give your body time to heal and recover now, it usually takes a while so don`t be too impatient.  Relax and be happy!

All best of luck with your EOT results and SVR!  smile

Hi Sandy,

Congrats on getting to the end.  It may take a couple of months to get your Hb back to 'normal', so don't be too keen on blood-letting until it's stable. Hope you recover quickly. Cheers.

Hey Sandy...... WOOT, WOOT, WOOT!!!!!  I'm so happy to hear your great EOT news! It's going to be almost surreal for you and the day after is even crazier. Whatever it is, it's going to be superb! You've also had your share of ups and downs with this treatment and 83% is enough Riba anyway you look at it. However, if my figures are correct, it's 83.47%, lol! JK! I'm rooting for you and for your quick recovery and return to normality. Believe me, normal is more than good too! xxoo

tomorrow is my EOT and last 4 ribo pills!!!!!  yippee. have consumed 100% of the inciveck and pegasys, but only 83% of the anemia causing ribo.

my hemo is holding at 7.8 w/ 2 procrits/week !!!! am still und and will march onward to the coveted SVR. ast/alt/ggt are 33/40/40,while ferretin is still in 1600 range & 60% iron saturation. at one point i was in the 2000 range & 90% saturation prior to tx.no

recently did an archival search w/ lab corp dated from 6 yrs ago & mailed to me. i highly recommend this to all. it was quite the eye opener!!! turns out my hemo has always been 11.0 and in 2007 was 10.0. my ferretin& iron saturation always were elevated due to iron supplements consumed whole life until 4 years ago. here's the icing on the cake...... on 10/12 went to hemotologist to test for genetic hemochrotosis which turned out negative. although in fine print on bottom stated hemoglobin findings are consistent w/thalassemia minor. unfortunately old dr. didn't share this info w/ meno oh,1st time on peg & ribo old dr had me on rx iron for my anemia. what a fine way to elevate liver enzymes!!!!!!!!

feel quite certain that once i'm blood let to get rid of the iron overload my ast/alt will go down much further. also i'm fortunate that new dr. is able to handle this situation.

finally i couldn't have accomplished this w/out the caring support of this much needed forum. i always knew whenever i was having a bad day i could escape to this safe haven . reading these posts made me gain inner strength & dig deeper just when i thought i'd had enough.

well at least tonight i don't have to keep counting my pills to make sure i took them!!! once i even got fantastic spray on a ribo, let it dry and ate it anyway!!!!! or the 1st time in hospital when they had to pull the bottle of ribo from me while i was sobbing about risking my UND. these are the things i will relish fondly....
