Congrats Brian! You've had a battle from the start, but you're winning and that's great news! 4 more weeks Brother, hang on and stay strong. The finish line is in view, keep putting one foot ahead of the other and you'll be crossing it before you know it! Best of luck!!

Thanks you guys for the encouragement!!! Treatment has been a real journey for me. I was one of the lucky ones that was UND at 4 weeks and thank God I still am!!! The physical side effects on triple therapy with Incivik are a pain but bearable!!! Water is the key component to success!! The key to pollution is dilution!!! The rash, the hemroids, and the mental side was the hardest part. However, the good Lord only gives us this treatment to become stronger!! That is what I am taking from this whole experience! Thank God that I am one of the fortunate ones!!!

Thanks for answering Gracie, Yes it´s true, it seems we are very close as far as disease.

I look forward to treating with triple. Here, they give  the triple with  dropper. But perhaps I´ll be lucky in June. You are lucky to be in the treatment. The results with incivek are really impressive. You have many chances to be a hep c free woman in 2014!!!

Thank you for the information, and continue writing about your situation. In this forum there is a lot of help and knowledge. And people like me need to know about the treatment while we are waiting (the desperate waiting)

Good luck Gracie

hi Rebeca,

My treatment length is dependent on whether I'm undetected at week 4 which would make me an early responder. Then it would be 6 months. If I don't respond at all then I stop at that point and wait for a new treatment. If I have a good response but don't clear the virus, I continue on to week 12 to see if I can clear it by then. If I do, then continue on with the interferon ribo for 48 weeks total.

I have had side effects. Headache last week, small (very small) amounts of itchiness but no rash. Bathroom so far has been regular and no pains down there so that's good as I've heard quite a few have problems there. I work every day and try to do everything I normally do. The biggest effect is I'm ready to go to bed around 9 and once I'm tired, I need to go immediately. Sleeping well. Last night was my shot night. After my headache last week, I took 2 extra strength Tylenol when I went to bed and as soon as I opened my eyes and have been good so far.  Doing laundry and making a turkey. Still hungry although I eat smaller meals. And since I just started this year, I get to follow the new protocol of incevik twice a day, so have my 20 grams of fat and pills with breakfast at 7 and dinner at 7. All in allvery doable so far. Still a long road ahead and I know symptoms can come and go. Reading here has put me on preventative measures (tons of water, tons of lotion, zinc cream for you know where... I slip and slide into my clothes every morning...lol ).

Not fun, but doable for sure!

How long your treatment will last? six months or a year?
Glad to read you're well on your third shot. Did you have any side effects?
Good luck

That is great news Brian! How are you doing on treatment? And how have the labs been during treatment.

Good luck for SVR!

I am also not too far behind. Just 22 shots left (out of 24) :)

Just kidding!
