No, it is not in your head.  Some days will be better than others.....some will be more of a challenge with symptoms magnified.  Just accept that your body is doing the best it can to get through this and even though it is no fun, it will end.  Sometimes there is no rational or apparent reason for the increase or lessening of symptoms, but what you are experiencing is something almost everyone does to one degree or another,  Know you are strong and will get through this, though the challenge may look daunting at times.  Good luck, there are many people here to support you.

Thanks Sally.  It`s not horrendous but it`s low enough to be making you feel very tired and lacking in energy.  The combined effect of these 3 powerful drugs can hit very hard at times, physically and mentally, and the feeling of disconnection isn`t that unusual when we want to get on with our daily activities but our bodies refuse to co-operate!

Try to keep yourself distracted by watching some favourite films or TV programs, reading, listening to some relaxing music, or whatever helps you relax.  It`s good to take a bit of exercise when you can, stretching or short walks for example, but don`t feel guilty about resting when you need to.  This is your time, so do whatever it takes to get through, day by day!

Let us know when you get your results next week...and best of luck!

Hi Jill

I have dropped from 15 to 10.2 which isn't horrendous  unless it has dropped further in last 2 weeks...my mind is willing to get up but my body isn't...feel like my mind disconnected from my body wink

Hi Sally, I can assure you the fatigue you`re experiencing is real and certainly not imagined!  The side effects do vary in intensity from person to person, but treatment with Incivek can be very hard going, and many of our members will be able to confirm this.

Things should start to get easier once you`ve finished with Incivek though and if your Hb levels drop below a certain level your doctor will be able to take measures to help with that.  Do you know what your latest Hb result was?

You have no reason to feel bad about contacting your treatment nurse, this level of fatigue is very distressing, and I understand exactly how you are feeling.

Take care, Jill

I finish Incivek next monday and am currently wading through 48 weeks...for the last four days I have barely left my bed...I am anaemic but my last blood test two weeks ago had not got any worse. I phoned my treatment nurse who said wait until monday for my regular tests...feel a fool now for ringing her as she said some people have no major problems on triple. So I am wondering if I am 'creating' this fatigue and if anyone else has felt like this

Regards

Sally
