So, after waiting all day for my med delivery that I was told would happen ...it did not arrive. I called the speciality pharmacy and it turns out the woman who told me yesterday that I would have my meds today did not get the final manager approval and it didn't send out. I found this out after speaking to about 8 different people. Finally, someone who took her time to read the notes on my account and contact the proper people set up a delivery for me for Tuesday. ..This time it's guaranteed as a go. My goodness. ...

Good news...tomorrow is the day!! :) The pharmacy will over night the sovaldi. Tomorrow night I begin. Finally! They are investigating what happened to the other pills but they did some override and luckily my insurance covered lost/stolen meds. Thanks all for reading all my complaints lol...I'm sure you haven't heard the last of me though.

sorry to hear of all this confusion over your meds. thank goodness you're having the rest shipped to your home.

i'm certain after all this mess you'll have smooth sailing from now on.

Angie,

I'm sorry that you're having such an ordeal getting started. I've seen a lot of road blocks and hesitation to get started on treatment, but this is a first! Trust that it will get straightened out quickly and you'll be on your way to a new hep free life!! Be sure you write this down in your journal. It will be something to laugh about in the near future biggrin Good luck!

The nurse is trying to get all this fixed for me. I think she is more stressed than I am. She gave me a number directly to sovaldi and they just need some info from me and maybe they will send something out. Both my riba and sovaldi went missing or were never delivered in the first place. She had some copegus ribavarin (guessing there isn't any difference in that and ribosphere that I should have) on hand that she gave me but of course no spare sovaldi. The specialty pharmacy is also checking the warehouse for the possibility that there was an error and they did not send it...though it was on the packing slip.

So...she can't find my meds and is trying to figure something out. Now I have no clue when I start. Could be tomorrow if she gets them or could be a week or two..depending on what she is doing. She had two other people's meds there and mine are the ones that randomly vanished. Arghhh...hoping I get a call tomorrow saying she has them. I'm hoping this is the very last set back lol...I have been going through hoops since September to get to this point. She did go over everything with me and all that is done...it's just a matter of her figuring out what happened to the meds . Thankfully, the next two months supply comes to my house directly.

Good luck to you, Angie.  I am on the same three meds and side effects very minimal so far. Just a case of chills and hard to sleep Friday night after the INF shot. 

Fingers crossed for us all.

Best of luck to you Angie, The Sofosbuvir hopefully will be at addition that gets the job done. Im on Sosf &  Riba  and having no  SX   Just a little hard to sleep but that got resolved yesterday with 5mg ambien.  Slept  like a baby.   Stay the course and keep us posted. Were all family here   RC

Yes, Jill...I will be on those 3 meds for 12 weeks. Sovaldi, pegasys and ribosphere.

So, I'm sitting waiting for the instructions on the meds. ..that they have been looking for for the last 30 minutes. Apparently, someone has misplaced them and they only found my interferon. I really hope I leave here today with all my meds lol...always some delay!

Dx. 2005-liver bx.: stg 2/gr 1. at that time  - GT 1a multiple transfusions in 1981.  Started Sovaldi and Olysio 1/16/14  (No prior treatments) Q80K present.  UND week 4,8 and at EOT.   UND at wk 4EOT, Und at wk 8EOT  SVR 12!!!..SVR 24 :-)

My appointment to start meds Friday was canceled due to a snow storm....but today I have a definite appointment to get started. She has had my meds since the 5th  and it's been driving me nuts waiting lol. I am trying to not think about It too hard because I am of course worried about side effects but I am also excited to get it over with. I struggle with anxiety/excessive worrying so I'm doing my best to keep an empty head and just go through the motions and press forth.
