Hi and welcome, Rybronco.  You've come to the right place.  I'm a month into same treatment w/riba. What few problems I've had are more the result of the ribavirin than the other two, I feel.  Many on your combo are reporting minimal, if any, side effects.  It should go quite well for you.  Best of luck...

Wayne

Hi Rybronco, welcome from me too.  And no need to apologise, it takes a while to get used to navigating your way around here, and I`m glad you found us!

Congrats on starting your Olysio/ Sovaldi treatment today, I`m quite sure you`ll find it so much easier this time with minimal side effects and a much shorter duration.  You should do well on this new drug combo, and as Tim said, it has demonstrated very good success rates from the clinical trials that were studied.  As you`ve already seen, we have a group of new members on the same treatment, with or without ribavirin, so do feel free to join in with the discussions.

Wishing you all the best, keep in touch!

Hi Rybronco, I am on day 7 of Sovaldi and Olysio alone no other meds for hep c. I to failed all the other treatments. I feel confident I have a good chance to have this combination of meds work. I heard like around 93%. I also heard some different percentages both higher and lower, but over all they look good. The meds are great initially I had a few symptoms the first 2 days , but none after that. I have gotten some good support and information here on this chat room. I am not an expert. except for the school of hard knocks. There are people on here that seem to know what they are talking about. Please post and let us know how you're doing on these meds. Pretty much everyone has had a positive experience. Good luck, I hope you are virus free soon. Thanks Tim

Sorry for the etiquette viiolation on my first post in the chatbox.  New to this forum. I am starting Olysio and Sovaldi without riba today for 12 weeks. A little apprehensive due to the PTSD I think I still have from the last treatment of Inf and riba years ago. My body did not do well with it. I'm G1a Dx 2005 No major fibrosis VL 7.8 mil. I have my fingers crossed and saying prayers. Thank you everyone for the posts. I feel a sense of calmness when I read what you are posting. In fact, that is why I joined this forum.
