That is great news!  Congratulations.  I am just starting week two of the same treatment and side effects have been way less than I expected.

So happy for you.  You are so young. Now you can live a normal healthy long life!

Hey Jenjen

Super congrats on reaching UND status , it's a moment that you can cherish forever.

Your feelings are certainly normal and shows how important this is to our lives.

Hoping all goes well

Wanted to give an update.

Midway through my 5th week of Treatment!

Side Effects have been minimal, the most noticeable has been needing a nap almost every day around 3-4 and going to bed by 9 pm! So I guess naps aren't that bad of a thing :) I am learning to slow down anyway so it's gotta be good for me.

Had a couple of rough days here and there, but truly minimal.

Also noticed dry skin/dry scalp.

but I got the call today and UNDETECTED! I was diagnosed with GENO 1a so I have to do interferon.

My liver levels are now down, which they were way up before beginning treatment.

About 7.5 weeks left, so I will check back in.

I have used this as a resource and answered questions so thank you to all who contribute.

They say when I was 18 months old I had received a tainted transfusion because of a car accident.I received the diagnosis at about 25, now at 27 they say it is GONE from my system.

I am SO thankful! Needless to say, I bawled tears of joy when I received the news.

 Thanking God for every victory.

jj
