It's you guys before us that give us hope. I'm on week ten and it seems a bit overwhelming to me now, although I'm hopeful post incevik will make life a bit more enjoyable. I start the day running, but seem to run out of gas by about 2 pm. Pjs are on most nights by six pm. Some days are diamonds... Some days are doggie dung...lol. Seems to run in cycles for me. This week I'm on the dung side of things. I'll trudge through and soldier on! Just like you did Scruffy, even if some weeks I'm crawling instead of jogging!

scruffy,

you are someone on this forum that deserves a gold medal for your marathon run to beat hcv!!!!

you're spot on w/ the baby steps.... at 3 mo. eot i'm just about able to walk tall and by 6 mo. i'll be running!!!

keep on plugging along, you're almost there...

do keep some extra procrit for after tx....one never knows.

hold your head high, smile at all and crawl proudly.

For all the 48 triple tx ppl. I have 9 weeks left. I'll give ya's a run down on how it went so far as I've been asked. At first we start out jogging down the tx path.  I was on incivek. I was anemic at week 7 and had to get three transfusions and still on procrit but I was still jogging along. My "jog" started to slow down by week 11 but after week 12 when I dumped the incivek my "jogging pace" picked back up. Still anemic but on full dose of riba. By week 32 my pace had slowed to a "walk" instead of a "jog". I'd say around week 34 I had to get the shots for my white cells along with the procrit. To me the white cell shots sx are worse than the pegesys. Now I'm on week 39, I can see the finish line but I've slowed down to baby steps. So close but so far. Doc says my marrow is getting tired from the long tx. The sx of the last 12 weeks aren't any worse than at week 20 its just that its like the end of a marathon.  Thats how its going for me. Maybe this will give you ppl some insight on what its going to be like.

Best wished for all!!!
