Hello Miss Cara

Super congrats on your week 4 UND, very good sign for your ever lasting future.

I hope your hubby will follow soon with similar results.

I also just got my 4 week results, and the Dr. said he is amazed at my progress.  I was at <15 vl at 2 weeks, all other counts fine, and at 4 weeks there is not a lick of hcv detected in my blood, and all other levels perfect!  They were very pleased, as I am of course!

I think it's a blessing to us all to have a treatment available that is proving to be so successful!  Now, if we could get through the gnarly side effects, life would be peachy!

Hey Rybronco

Super Congrats on the week four UND, this is the very significant sign for the 12 week treatment protocol.  This is a day you will truly learn to cherish. Keep study with the remaining weeks onward to SVR

It's a great day huh Rybronco?   I go for my 4 week labs on Friday.  Will post the results sometime next week.  While my results aren't quite as remarkable as yours,  I will gladly and Thankfully take them.  I hope and expect to be UND around the 4 week mark as well.  Hoping my platelet count will start to rise.  Not sure if this is something that just takes longer.  The start of this week brought headaches and fatigue.  Feeling much better today.  What a difference a day makes...and every one special.  Happy for you!

Just got a glorious call from my doctor! I am UND at 4 weeks. I am stunned and in disbelief, this is really happening! I almost feel like crying.

Latest labs look like this: All labs within normal limits

     baseline    2weeks    4weeks

alt    49          19          18

ast   26          18          17

vl     7.8mm    80        UND

This combo is no joke!  I am feeling blessed that I have an opportunity to treat with this regimen.

Hugs go out to all for sharing your insights and experiences on this site!

Rockon!!

Hey Robert. Good luck on your blood work. The riba is just beginning to mess with my sleep. Not quite enough for me to take something as I don't want to feel zombie like in the mornings but just enough to have become annoying!  I have 6 weeks to go so we shall see what happens.

Enavigo--

That is a very funny post. With a since of humor like that , I think you should do well with treatment. The alien/flight 370 thing had come up with a friend and I too, as a joke of course!

Hi Enavigo!

Sounds like your moving right along. Good for you. Don't be shy on the blood test though. If you start to feel a little "off" have your hbg checked for sure. In my case it took about 5 weeks for it to show really low I was on triple tx though.

Keep on keepin on!

Today is day 29 which means this morning I was "poppin' bottles" .... of Riba and Sovaldi that is!!! Onto the next 28 days I go.... Just got home from my Week 4 Check-In with the liver doc.  He walked in the room just as I was chugging from the extra large jug of water I travel with these days; it made for a good laugh.  He said all the side effects I've experienced are right on par with others on the same treatment. I told him that this last week has been pretty good to me, much better than the first 3. I'm not sure if my body is adjusting to the meds or if my mind is!

Today's labs included a VL, LFT's, and CBC w/diff. due to the high WBC situation two weeks ago. The lab guy (this really cool Rasta-man) is convinced that aliens abducted the missing flight from Malaysia.

Doc said that he'll call tomorrow with my CBC results and that he'll call in a few days when the rest of the numbers come in.  He said if I am UND on this test he will NOT do another VL at 8 weeks - he will wait until 12 and post. He said if my HGB is steady and other numbers are good I will not need to do a 6 week blood draw unless I start feeling real sluggish and then he will call in an order; otherwise he said he'll do another CBC/LFT's at the 8 week visit.  I warned him that if any of those numbers fluctuate due to diet then to be prepared as yesterday was my birthday and I celebrated with food!!  hehehe   Now i'm off to prepare for an interview I have at work tomorrow for a program where 30 people are applying and only 6 will be chosen. Kind of wish my interview got scheduled early in the day when I'm fresh but unfortunately I got 3pm which is right about the time the brain fog rolls in. Oh well ... this should be fun.

I will post my 4 week lab results when I get them - stay tuned!  Hope everyone is still trucking right along!!
