Hey Roxie,

Good luck on your labs! Hope you get the good news of undetected . These meds had me feeling like a crazy person yesterday. I do not remember going through that at all when I did tx before. Luckily, we only have to do this for a few months. I'm sure getting the news of undetected will help with the mental battle.

Hi Angie,

I am about 10 days ahead of you on the same treatment and this week feel that the struggle to not blow up on somebody is becoming overwhelming. And that's putting it politely. The last thing we need is med malfunction & pharmacy screw ups to worry about.

Glad you got good injectors and hope that doesn't happen again. Keep your chin up.  Time passes. I'm going for 4 week blood draw in the a.m. and am hoping for some good encouraging news. Just keep thinking about 90% success rate.

I had to talk to gentech about the leaky proclick . She said that a drop or two can be normal. My injectors lost more than a couple of drops though. I wasn't sure what to make of it.I figured maybe the needle was messed up... so, I wasn't about to try it. Plus, the dose would be off considering the leakage. I got my meds today and the proclick did not leak at all. Having to take it in the morning was not fun...they are right to suggest doing it around bedtime. It was doing a mental number on me all day..either that or the riba snuck up on me. Not sure.

Hi Angie,

Thats great news! I knew you'd get it resolved this morning but knowing that doesn't lessen the anxiety at the time one bit! I'm sorry you had to go through that panic, I know how unsettling that must've been. Thanks for sharing your good news. Now you can relax and get back on schedule, good luck!

She told me just to take it as soon as I get it tomorrow and I can resume my regular scheduled dosing days thereafter. So, no worries! Just thought I'd mention that in case there is anyone else freaking out about missed doses lol

Just got all of it sorted out. I'm getting my refills tomorrow and the pharmacy said taking it tomorrow would be fine. She also gave me a number to call for the replacement pens. Whew.

I called them and they told me the speciality pharmacy is closed and to call in the morning. This just makes me nervous. I will call them first thing in the morning and maybe my nurse as well to get her opinion. Thanks for the help Tig...I'm having some panic about this over here lol.

Call your pharmacy emergency number right now. Peg Interferon is a long acting drug and you'll be fine as long as you get it replaced in a couple days time. Don't sweat it. There will be options locally that they can access if necessary. It'll be fine. Start calling now or as soon as you can in the morning. An area pharmacy or doctor (or patient) will be able to help. They have contingencies set up. Don't worry!

I just opened my other one and same thing. Now I have none to use. Will this mess up my treatment?

I never had a problem with any of mine. 28 for 28 were good. You were right to set that aside and use a different unit. Talk with your pharmacy and get it replaced. That's something they should be prepared for. They may want it for inspection to check it's Lot number.

I went to take my interferon and removed the cap off my auto injector and it was leaky. It stopped leaking and seemed fine but I took out another injection to use tonight instead. Just wondering if it's happened to anyone else and if it's a faulty pen or what? Hoping the pharmacy will replace it.
