Ha, ha! Scruffy, you know all about those little surprises, eh? I've been there and done that too! Best to carry a rescue kit with you when leaving the house, lol!

I found drinking enough water was difficult in the beginning. Water is, well, boring. Then I discovered those little bottles (Mio is one brand) that you can squirt into your water. Store brands are available too. They are sugar free and each bottle has 24 servings for about $3 dollars. My favorite is the sweet tea, I'm still using it. Having a way to change up the flavors daily really helped me maintain the water intake.

Attention Lisa!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Passing gas while on tx can be hazardous to your knickers.

Its has been known that while on tx some times gas can be like the wrapping on a present with a little surprise inside.

Keep smiling !!!

These meds are not kind on my stomach either. I am not anemic yet to my knowledge but I feel like I am. I'm in week 6. I have had migraines since I was a teen and these meds have made them a bit more frequent but I get them often anyway. During my headaches I can't eat or drink due to nausea and it really becomes a problem as far as dehydration goes. I normally drink tons of water but find it harder to do when I'm feeling badly..which in turn makes me feel worse and takes me longer to recover. I also battle the lovely riba rash on my forearms. I would say all your symptoms are typical of the meds. Hydration is definitely important as I find the riba causes me to feel very dried out.

LOL ... to be entirely honest, I was convinced in the beginning that I was experiencing the signs of anemia "already" however ive yet to actually become anemic. I have only 27 days left of 84 day treatment and im still way outside the anemia zone. The meds do just cause fatigue and malaise on their own, its not necessarily a sign of anemia. But as for the headaches, those are a known side effect of riba. Everyone needs different amounts of water. My headaches were so bad in the beginning I would lock myself in dark and quiet rooms. Once I figured that water thing out, things overall got much better. Granted, I pee a million times a day and travel with a large jug of water at all times but its all good. LOL

It is actually harder than I thought drinking tons of water, but Ok I will try to drink more....Apart from that still laughing although I can't say the same for my company when they get a waft off my naughty bottom! :P

Hahah... odious wind!  That is thankfully not a side effect I have experienced. Also thankfully I haven't had had nausea. I began to get very tired overall around the middle of the second set of bottles. As for the headaches... those were the WORST!  Definitely increase your water intake asap as will help immensely with the headaches. Since I figured out how much water I must drink per day (2 quarts), I haven't had a headache since!

Good luck!

I'm starting to feel the effects of our friend Ribaviren. It is a sad day when you let wind that is so odious that everyone assumes it can be only the dog it is that bad! ;) Vile little pills are making me woozy, tired, headache and very smelly. Is this the start of anemia, or just toxic effects of my friend the cure? :)
