My doctor told me that he has knows of post-EOT relapse with Sovaldi/Olysio, but the numbers were small. He didn't specify if any were his patients or other colleagues in the COSMOS study. I do know that he had a few patients with tx compliance problems, e. g. not taking meds as prescribed, continued alcohol or drug abuse. The final cohort 2 numbers from COSMOS found that overall 94% of Metavir F3-F4, genotype 1 patients achieved SVR12. The numbers were small, but still impressive for a hard to treat group that includes me as a fellow member.

My Hep C clinic is still collecting data from the Sovaldi/Olysio combo, as I'm sure many other clinics and physicians are around the U.S. and abroad. The recently initiated phase 3 Optimist trial of the combo should have a much larger patient base to compare with the COSMOS results.

My next VL test will be at EOT + 4 weeks on April 30th.

I asked my doctor the same question.  He participated in clinical studies with the same regimen and he says none of those he follows has failed.

Since approval, his patient are just reaching EOT now.m I think this quesiton will be an interesting one in the near future when the masses reach EOT + 12 or 24.

Rockon!

Hi Dee Dee,

Since the drugs were just approved late last year, there hasn't been enough time to get much post-tx followup info.  The few forum members that have completed treatment have only recently done so.  I haven't seen any reports of viral breakthroughs.  Those on clinical trials are the only ones who would have had enough time to finish both tx and the following 12 weeks required to claim SVR. If any relapses were posted, I missed them.
