HI Isiscat, another way of doing it is by using `BB Tags` at each end of your link, which is what I do.  When you open your reply box you`ll see `Posting How -To` underneath where it says `Submit Post` and that will show you how to use them.

Here`s a link to that info, and I`m using the BB Tags here (they are not visible once I`ve posted my comment!)

Thank you, Tig.  That explains it.  I am not on my PC.  When I was posting here a couple of years ago I had no problems with hyperlinks but I was always using a PC.   Thanks for re-doing the VA link too.  smile

Hi Isis,

Once you have the page address copied to memory, return to this section and either paste the link as you did below or you can enter some text of your choosing, I'll use "VA Fever". When you highlight that text or your web address, you'll notice that the editing tools above activate. On the second line, you'll notice a chain link and next to it a broken chain link. Select the solid chain link (left). A text box will open. Enter your (copy/paste) you address on the top line of the three available (Link URL). Do nothing else but click "Update". That will activate your link. I'm only able to get this to work on my PC. It doesn't work on my iPad or iPhone similarly, so I use my PC whenever I want to add live links to a post. I hope this explains it, let me know. I couldn't get your VA address to work by the way or I would've warmed it up!

Hi John:

Sounds like you are doing better now and an elevated temp can just be a side effect of the Interferon.  The standard advice is to call if a temp of 101 lasts 24-48 hours or seek help right away if fever is accompanied by other potentially serious symptoms such as chest pains, difficulty breathing, or abdominal pain.

I wanted to give you a couple of resources for side effect issues and management that you may find helpful:

1) Sovaldi Nurse Hotline:  1-855-769-7284

2) U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs:  http:// www.hepatitis.va.gov/provider/reviews/treatment-side-effects.asp#SfeverX

Not sure why I can't get hyperlinks to work here.  Sorry, John you will have to manually type that in for now.  Any advice to fix this appreciated!

Yes, I do not want them to reduce anything unless it is imperative - fever is stable now at 100.

Hi John,

If the 'fever' is only temporary, it's Interferon related. If so, take a Nurofen or similar a few hours before your shot. Unless the 'fever' is due to something else, your doctor can't do much, as you don't want to drop your dose. It's all part of the fun. Cheers.

Hi John,

Sorry you're feeling poorly my friend. Once that temp starts to spike, the little energy you have left, seems to melt. No pun intended... I would base your call to your doctor based on how you're feeling. Regardless of how high your temp is, if you're sick and need some assistance, by all means call. I would certainly call if it reaches 102. You need to stay on top of your hydration right now, that's very important. You can also try to reduce it by taking some Tylenol, that's an approved medication while on treatment. Just don't take it for extended periods and keep the dose at recommended dosages, don't take an extra dose to try and speed things up. Have you been able to eat and drink adequately since you've been on treatment? I can't impress on you the importance of getting adequate fluids. If this is a reaction to your Interferon injection, you should see it start to drop fairly quickly. They are generally short lived and will go down after a day or two at most. Good luck, stay rested and drink!!

Took interferon shot last night - I have a fever for the first time of 101.

When would you place the call to the doctor - I don't want to cry wolf.
