Thanks to you guys here that I was even knew about this treatment option and dug my heels in to get it.
Tig I arrived here with a rash on my arms that the nurse mentioned in her email. The cortisone cream has helped alot.

The nurses and Dr are almost as excited as me because I am their first on this combo and my fast response has them more amazed than I am.
In the long run I will have spent more time getting tested and preparing for the treatment than actually doing it.

Anyway I have been randomly breaking into a happy dance all day. I know its not SVR but gotta say it's been a great day.

Hi Barnacle,

I'm jealous, you sitting on the beach in Hawaii and me sitting here at midnight behind a screen! Enjoy yourself, and enjoy some for me too! I wanted to mention something about the sun sensitivity. While you can mitigate the exposure with SPF sunscreen lotions, keep in mind that you can still have a reaction to the sun anyway. Just being out in the sun can cause a reaction. Covering up with lotion is very wise and important, but just exposing yourself to the sun's rays can bring about a reaction, like a rash, in addition to a burn. Try and limit overall exposure when possible until you know how you might react. I'd hate to have you  be forced to stay inside when you're in such a beautiful location!

Tig

PS: WOOT!!!   biggrin    Get it?? (congrats man!)

Thx Greg, and I'm in Hawaii playing my new ukelele, just doesn't get much better....
I seem to have acclimatized to the sun sensitivity brought on by olysio, SP100 sunblock has helped too.

Just got report back from 4 wk lab result. Due to privacy issue they won't email lab results but this email arrived this morning.

Good morning Dave.

Can you guess what this means? Thats right.you-know-what is negative!  Hope you are enjoying your trip so far. When you get the chance, let me know how youve been feeling this week. Hows your skin doing? Has the rash continued to improve? Hows your sleep been? Etc. etc..

Cheers,

Shelby
