Welcome Mark, your path is similar to many here.  Get ready for the UND biggrin     I am on the same tx with 12 days remaining.  VL was 16 at day 25, remained UND at 8 weeks.   It goes fast.  Hoping we all see improvement with the chronic fatigue.

Rybronco, hard to believe only 2 days left.  wink  Happy for you!

Hey Mark,

Welcome.  When I read your post, it could have been a post of mine.  I can sooo relate to the fear and shame.  However, I can tell you that NOW I feel completely different. I have two days left of treatment and the deeply seeded fear is virtually gone.  I feel a new lease on life feeling and you will too.

This combo is knocking the virus down hard and fast with very little in terms of sides.  Keep reading as there are a bunch of folks here on this combo and all have had incredible responses.

Rockon!!

Hi Mark:

I'm so glad you decided to reach out.  No reason to fake happy anymore; now you can actually be happy.   The remarkable improvements in HepC tx have us all feeling optimistic about the future.   You are on a good combo and tx time is short.  It will be over before you know it.

Keep us posted on how you are doing!

Thanks for the welcome !  This is just so all incredibly life changing.  Living with the hep-c shame for so long and keeping it a secret from everyone but my 3-kids (single dad)...I've been so un-optimistic but faking happy for so long I don't know how to act.  So, here we go !!!!  Best wishes to everyone on this new journey !!!!

Hi Mark,

Welcome from me too! You're in for a pleasant surprise this time around. The new drugs are incredibly effective and the undetectable's are coming in fast and steady. It wasn't too long ago, I was keeping my fingers crossed to just hear that I was undetectable at the 12th week of treatment. Now the 12th week of treatment is the end of it! For those of us that had to suffer through 6 to 12 months of Interferon and Ribavirin, watching these rapid UND's and SVR's is mind numbing. Do your best to change that terror to the thrill of knowing that this time you're going to be successful. It won't be long Mark and you'll have a new Hep C free future to plan!! Good luck...

Hi Mark,

Welcome to the Forum. Good to hear the liver values are normal, and that points to an Undetected. This treatment seems to be a piece of cake compared to the old Peg/Riba. Don't be terrified- the chance of SVR is excellent. Cheers.

been dealing with this alone for so long I decided to reach out ...

I'm on day 25 of Sovaldi/Olysio for geno 1.... had it for the past 12 years or so and failed interferon/riba horror twice...  had my labs back 10 days ago and my doc said my liver stats were all in the normal range for the first time in the past 12 years.  I've been really sick the past 2 years and must admit that although I can't sleep, i feel better today than I ever have !!!!

I get my viral load test this thursday, terrified....i still have a lot of side ache pain, but its seems to be lessening daily....  i don't know...my viral load was 6,000,000 at start of treatment !

thanks,

Mark
