Yep Tig, I'm one of those that can count them on one hand.

You are certainly deserving of the many you've made here.

I must be the 'antimatter' man. I have to say I've been a better person on treatment than before tx , in terms of rage (understand I've 2 more weeks to go).  I had more rage before tx than now. The jury will reconvene June 1st....

P.S. We are all thankful that box of potato flakes didn't change the course of history....

Hey James,

Funny! However, as most of you are aware, all it would've taken was one more month or one more week (who knows?) of Ribavirin and someone with the angry persistence of that box of mashed potato flakes and the review of my personality might have suffered dearly! We are all here to not only seek a shoulder to lean on, but to provide one whenever possible. I feel fortunate and blessed to have been able to find the support and friendship when I needed it. But also to have been here when the wonderful people of this forum needed a friend and the information to make it one more day. Often times, that's all it takes, enough help to make it one more day, and a friend that cares enough to listen. How many times have you heard someone mention they don't have enough real friends to count on one hand? I can proudly and happily say that because of my friends here, I've lost count...

Tig,

A well-healed man!  You worked hard, struggled through it all, kept the faith, and it paid off.  Your journey was long and difficult at times, but you persevered.  What a great accomplishment!  Thanks for your inspiriation for healing and all the hard work you put in on this forum.

I went for my 24-week test yesterday and results will be in early next week.  I went in early before work so the sample could be sent out with the morning courier.  Onward to SVR!

Bill

Fantastic Tig!!!

You have been and are a great help to me and others here.  I'm three weeks behind you, but the trial won't give the final ok for me "til July 1.

Enjoy your new status. Although no one can fill your shoes, I hope many will follow in your footsteps.  Each day will be with a NEW lease on life.  It truly warms my heart each time one of us reaches SVR.

Tig you have always been there for me and so many others on this board. I think Omna said it best when she stated there is no higher service one can perform than that of helping others. Dear Friends,

Thank you so much for all the kind words! I'm still pinching myself, it's really a wonderful feeling knowing that after all the effort, which included failures along with successes, many highs and plenty of lows, that I've succeeded in what I set out to do. Kill the Beast... It's something we're all familiar with and it's a battle that when finished is bitter sweet. I'm thrilled that I've met the beast on terms that proved it's undoing, that's an understatement, but there's much left to do. That of course is to see an end to this disease once and for all. If we can't stop it outright, then we have to beat this dragon back far enough that it's nothing more than a manageable puff of smoke. We've all faced the fire, some more than once, with and without the joy and success I'm feeling today. I'm looking forward to the day when we can all stand together, knowing we've not only won a battle, but won the war. I'm encouraged to know that the advances in treatment have brought us one giant step closer to that goal. Let's all make a commitment to do our very best individually and collectively, to not only beat this disease, but to help each other, as we progress through treatment and with life after it. You have all been my strength and a lifeline when I needed it and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being there. I will always remember that and will do my best to help you through your own battle, whatever that might be.... Stay strong my friends!

Best,   Tig

Thats Wonderful!  I was thinking today about Doctors, I was thinking that they should be given a trophy for each person they cure, They work hard and there is a lot of loosing attempts before they get one right.  So the Doctors deserve a big Thanks.

Congratulations!!!

Brought tears to my eyes.  I'm fairly new to the site but I know how much you contribute to it and you are so encouraging to others.  CURED!!!!  What joyous words to hear.  Thank you so much for all you do for us all.
