Hep C Poem, an expression of hope and determination..

tig, tazkat , hrsetrder, & jill,

thank you for your support.

my learning of UND was much more joyous than the coveted SVR. on day 3 nothing in the world was going to stop me despite all the sx ,esp. the rash that was beginning.

perhaps that's why my poem was so strong on day 3 & now that i'm not 100%  after 7 months it gets tired.

all i know is that the more i tell my story, the better i feel. it especially is helpful when i'm too weak due to my thalammesiamia minor which causes low cbcs & hgbs.

warriors be well & slay the dragon as well as spreading the word!!!!!!!

Hey Sandy,

Always will be a connection and bond, developed in a battle to survive. Little did you know at that stage of the journey how accurate those words would become. Now is the time to enjoy the victory, by going forth and conquering that which was previously denied. Revel in the joy of renewed health and our friendship! Your support will always be valued and forever appreciated...

Tig

Jill,

Thanks for posting up the poem, beautiful sentiment emanates from the words, the growth of the spirit to rise to the challenge and grasping the warrior mentality needed to survive.

Sandy, not-to-worry- we all have up & downs and sometimes it just needs to be expressed.

One of our members who doesn`t wish to be mentioned by name sent me this poem recently and asked if I could post it on their behalf.  It was written 3 days into treatment and expresses a deep desire to beat the virus.  I believe that sometimes expressing our feelings in words can reinforce our determination to succeed and I wish for all good things and a happy life ahead to the author!

Please do read it...comments welcome!

Hep-C; not for me

Hep-C I won't let you violate me

My decision is quite clear,

Triple therapy will guide me

But I will never hold you near or dear!!!!

I'll use you as you've done me!

My purpose is quite clear;

Diminish you as it was meant to be.

I will gain the strength & power I had,

Before you engulf me totally.

My life will become energized to conquer & achieve all,

And when it's all said & done I'll have a BALL!!
