Outstanding news! You indeed have beaten the crap out of the dragon. I'll add that it is a big victory to be SVR and you've earned it!

Congratulations!!! You've made yet another excellent advance and there's no reason to believe you won't continue to make improvements. Remember it takes one day at a time and you're beating each of these items the same way, one at a time. Keep a positive attitude and please stay with us, keep us informed and allow us the joy of celebrating your accomplishments. It may not be happening as fast as you'd like it to, but trust me, from our vantage point, you've reached the summit of every mountain you've climbed so far. Keep it up, we're rooting for you and are always on your side and ready to talk if the need arises! Continued good luck!!!

Thanks Duane, as far as sides the only real complaint was insomnia and almost debilitating fatigue.  There was drop in my white blood cells and hematocrit but nothing alarming.  I am in next week for an ultrasound and liver biopsy.  It should be interesting tosee if there have been any changes since my last biopsy which was done in March right before therapy.  It is probably too soon to see any changes other than a major reduction of inflamation.  I do feel much better, although once my drugs get adjusted I should feel a bunch better.  I have been somewhat jealous of how some have reported feeling really really good very quickly.  Its been a little slower for me, but not surprising what with my other problems.  These new therapies have been a life saver for many of us, I wish the best to everyone in the battle.  Best of luck to you Duane, I know you have had some major struggles too.  Stay strong all.  Oops, almost forgot, major imrovement in my LFT's and should get even better once my meds get adjusted to the proper level.

Labs came in today, EOT +12 VL...UND!  I must be living right having gotten this far.  I was rather concerned about being hard to treat, liver Xplant '99, compensated cirrhosis F4 fibrosis, and grouchy.  The only fly in the ointment is the level of immune suppresant is rather low and I may have a little chronic rejection going on.  I will probably have to go in for yet another liver biopsy to verify the rejection, with the hep c they could not tell for sure until I was UND at eot +12.  My kidneys arent  the best either, because of the immunosuppresants early on when they used fairly high doses, and the drugs used are nephrotoxic so I get the pleasure of overcoming that too.  I am set up to see a transplant nephrlogist because I have had edema for some time and diruretics just arent working to remove all the fluid from my legs and the issue doesnt seem to be liver related according to labs.  I am just not happy unless I am getting to fight something.  Note to Huey: never kept the stick on the ice, used it to beat the crap out of the dragon.  I hope my small victory gives hope to others who are cirrhotic and hard to treat.
