Congratulations bassetgirl, you should be howling at the moon with your hound biggrinbiggrin   When growing up we had Basset's.  I remember my grandfather saying ole Suzie which was a beautiful tri-color female committed suicide confuse   I had just gotten a new black lab pup and he said she was jealous, went out street walking where she was hit by a car.  Don't think he wasn't really serious, wanted to see our reactions.  Ole Suzie made some fine pups.  Good luck in your new hcv free life.  You've got much to be Thankful for.   Hope and pray, your health improves with each passing day.

Excellent news!  Good to see your platelets on the rise too.  Liver function improvement in time seems very likely to me.

Standing ovation for the bassetgirl.

That is just great ............the S/O combo works awesome for many people and especially 1a cirrhotics .

Very happy for you enjoy your freedom.

On the platelet side I have seen very limited improvement my last labs on the 24th of sep. was 53

and I was SVR on 8/29 so it will probably take some time to improve that for you.

However what I know you will see is improved liver function and that in itself will help a great deal !

Congrats !!

Duane

I just got my 12 week after treatment viral load results: SVR!!!!!! I'm cured!!!!! I'm crying as I type this.

Gender:female
genotype 1a
compensated cirrhosis
treatment: 12 weeks Sovaldi/Olysio
VL at start  2 million

Comments: blood platelets have been around 60 since last spring, they are up to 72 as of yesterdays blood work. I am hoping that my liver function will continue to improve over time.

I posted this on the  Treatment Outcome Thread as well-
