Thanks Lisa,

and you've got news of your own today which is pretty exciting.

I got my EOT blood tests back today - minus viral load! yawn

The first lot is before treatment in Dec 15 and the second lot is May 28.

T-bili     6.......11

Alp        156....139

GGT      463....82

ALT        305...33

AST         206...55

I know they're not as pretty as some people's but considering where I started from, there's a big improvement??

Syd

Hi Jimmy,

I didnt see this reply. Being around there with those babies is time consuming and literally awe inspiring. there must be very few people who can be close to a new born baby without being knocked out by the sheer miraculous nature of the whole business. It knocks Father Christmas and the Easter Bunny into ah yes of course he's real, yawn, territory.

Her big three year old sister loves cuddling her - they look very similar - rested her face on the baby's head this afternoon and whispered I love you. I wonder what they will share together in their adult years when I am long gone.

But back to the EOT Town rumble... no need for tux. Just an armful of your funniest of funnies.

Warm fuzzy hugs to my friends out there in cyber land.

Syd

No need to worry, Syd, I`ve done a quick edit and it`s gone!!  It was all the excitement of thinking about a cocktail/mocktail/youtube comedy cocktail party I expect!

Which by the way sounds like a great way to celebrate, and the `irrelevant section` would be the ideal place to hold the event!

I vote Jimmy to be the host.. let`s get the party started!!  biggrin

And I meant to say, Syd, I love your guardian angel, you must bring her along too!  heart.gif

Thank you to all the special people here who have held my hand and coaxed me forward over the last six months. It's a strange way to get to know people - without seeing any of you, how you talk, how you dress and do your hair, not knowing who you hang around with, your families , your houses, decorating tastes and all the thousands of other cues shallow or otherwise that we usually use to accept and trust people. Just your thoughts. And you have all changed mine so deeply. I am so much less scared than I used to be .... You have taught me that the scariest stuff is in my own head and I can have some control over that. I am less angry than I used to be .... You have shown me through your stories that life often throws some remarkably big spanners in the works and it's not the damage done but how you choose to act and think after that that matters. I am more optimistic than I used to be - Canuck's psychoanalysis a couple of weeks ago really resonated with me. Can't say I'm more patient but when I finally get some EOT results back I will post them up..

And yes Tig I would love to be that little lady on the reticule being pulled along by my own powerless dragon. Dave, maybe we can all stop at Jimmy's for some brisket. And to my sisters, Cinnamon Girl, Wendy, Canuck, Lori, Dee - you have all been amazing. I would love to do a cocktail party with you all. Well, maybe a mock tail party. My sister has one every year that she calls a YouTube comedy cocktail party. Everyone brings their own favourite 5 minutes or less of comedy. I know if we had one Jimmy would find something phenomenal to bring but I bet we'd all have some to contribute......

Hey - maybe we could have one right here in the irrelevant section - whatever it's called. Post up a bit of one of your favourite comedy bits. Yea???

Syd

Congrats on finishing Tx Syd and welcome to the 'post treatment' club. I know 24 weeks seemed like it would never end but it did and SVR confirmation is next but the 12 week ride will be much smoother. You had your up's and down's but you hung in there and it's time now to reap the rewards. ENJOY!!! smile

Hey syd,

Big day! Congrats.

A big drum roll and marching parade for my friend.

Note the nice hats, and everyone dressed in simple black and white for the celebration?

Nice beat to this eh?

Congratulations Syd!! I know how relieved you must be to know this part of the journey is successfully finished. You really did well, even in spite of the Riba moments! We all suffered through them at one point and you got in a good dose of it before you parted ways. I'm absolutely certain the addition of it at the beginning was beneficial in controlling the beast within. You've got the Dragon defeated, I can feel it. Good things happen to good people and you're deserving of this.

I want you to wait at the station. I'm sending transportation to pick you up. Keep an eye out for it, you can't miss it! I found a way to put the Dragon to good use...

My dear Syd,

Welcome to EOTville, I've been waiting here for you since April ... I'm so glad you finally arrived.

I must say, you're looking well. It's been an extra long ride, you must be so very happy to have finally arrived. smile

Let's get off the train platform before the afternoon commute arrives.

It's a bit of a walk to town but I'm sure it will be a pleasure after sitting on the train for so long.

We can stop for tea and a brisket along the way and dinner will be served at the EOT Luxury Resort we've all reserved for the occasion.

Welcome, welcome, welcome!

Dave

It depends on the shade of orange....Burnt orange is lovely with dark brown/beige, and light orange with yellow or creams. If you are going to add white, add a white handbag to balance the overall look. They are lovely colours to wear when the weather is starting to look bleak :D

thanks Jill,

you have been there for me from the start and know how it will take a while for the clackety clack of those train wheels to stop reverberating in my head. Yes, and it's so good to be back on solid ground.

Lisa, I would love some help with my wardrobe choices. One of my options was a small hat with a down turned brim that I wore to the local Baptist church in the sixties when being with my bestie was way more important than parading around in a belief system of my own. And then to go with the hat, maybe a pair of white gloves - I'm a respectable lady I am. It's Autumn here and I thought I'd team it with some thick orangey pantyhose and some sensible beige pumps. Too obvious you think?

(I certainly won't be going in my birthday suit - it needs a bloody ironing whatever the shade I tried to turn it.)

Cheers,

Syd biggrin

Hey Syd,

Awww, are you going somewhere nice? I love clothes, so maybe I can help. I was reading the news last night about a woman that went to her car from a tanning booth to her car in her birthday suit, I don't recommend that look! :P

L

Doh, I never read the header......EOT requires a glam look! ;)

Hey all,

here I am!!!

i wrote such a long post last night asking for help with my wardrobe choices and wondering where my mates all gathered in this one horse town - and then lost internet connection.

So I've done a bit of basic freshening up in the Ladies at the station and am now staggering out to find you all.

helloooooo?.. Anyone around?

Syd
