Hey Winfrey,

A HUGE congrats on your UND(s)!!! You did it! (Us 3's are jes killin' it)! I am so pleased for you.

You had a hard road. Very brave (stoic) you were, and tough! to slog through a long 24 weeks (with riba all the way). But you were wise, you had very good insurance, to guarantee you beat it good. And, I glean you have gained much more than just beating this HCV. Very good for you, on all fronts.

Nice of you, to pass the positive message(s) to others about that there ARE harder things than 24 weeks of riba!

I am impressed at your durability, and attitude. That counts (a lot) to get you through the hard stuff.

That suprizing dream you had, BTW ... I did not see it as a "bad" dream, but rather, one in which you were sharing your current plight with your Dad and Brother, and it/they did draw your attention to dwell on them whilst you were embroiled in what you were going through. A unsettling, but not a bad venture, into seeking some form of solace and comfort. They were there with you. Just my thinking.

I am so pleased you have done so well for yourself and your gal!

How cool is that? To be given such news, in December, by a Dr. named "Clause".

Hey Dave,

WOOT!!! Congratulations my friend, you did it! I remember the hurdles you had to cross and it wasn't easy, but you dd it. Well done!

I'm glad you had (have) such a good support network. The treatment is only part of the process. Your determination and attention to detail was always evident to us. It seems difficult at the time, but oh so worth the effort.

SVR!! Those are three powerful letters and they belong to you! I'm happy for you Brother, enjoy your new beginning and Hep free life...

Good luck! smile

Hey Friends,

Way back in the winter of early 2016, thousand years ago, my sweet girlfriend talked me into  stopping my nonsense, putting down the booze, going to the doctor, and looking into treatment for the hep C I'd been ignoring for years. Somehow I ended up with the best  Hepatologist in Chicago....Which was a good thing, because I was diagnosed with c, G-3,and I was cirrhotic as well.

Flash foreward to April. My insurance co, after a badgering from my Dr's office, reluctantly agreed to treatment. First for 12 weeks, followed by more badgering, then for 24 weeks. So I spent a long summer on 1200 ml of RIBA, Sovaldi, and Daklensa. I did well, drank tons of water and a fat green smoothie a day......I got involved with a church (doesnt have to be a church), which put me in a group of positive and caring people.....I worked EVERYDAY sick or not..........The Ribaviron can be tough, but not near as bad as many things I've been through.

In Oct I finished my treatment.....I went for bloodwork. I am clean and we are completely confident that any liver scarring is fading. These drugs work; I feel great. At times I would lose confidence, but I'd get online and reach out to you guys (you know who you are), and I'd come around.

Hang in folks.....you'll make it.
