Hey Rick,

Wondered what was happenin'.

Gee, sorry that took so long for you to finally get the drugs, but VERY glad to know you now have a very firm and soon start date. Yay!

I can tell you are a very responsible family man, and highly motivated in many ways, in all the right ways (from your sharing about your lovely family and your work and work ethics), but I do have some concerns about how much energy you will be expending while on treatment.

You may feel it near impossible (given your life circumstances, demands, work situations), but you must get enough rest and water into you, during treatment. You have to give yourself every chance for this next 12 weeks to go as smoothly as possible. (No pressure eh?!)

This "commute", the physical excertion cycling, the heat, the long hours, the ready built-in interference and problem for intake and output of water are obstacles for you that you must strive to solve.

I don't want to see you feeling any more poorly because of those things. I fret about that a bit. But like Tig predicts you will figure out a way to get the water in (and out).

I cannot recall from your prior threads ... did you ever get a fibroscan and an ultrasound, and did you have your hep A and B immunity checked as good enough.

I know you said you had a fibro-test, which indicated .90 fibrosis/.91 necroinflammation, which puts you well into the F4 range (but I do not how recent that test was).

Do you have any other recent labs, or a fibroscan, to show how your liver is faring?

You are about to be cured, but it is good to know prior labs/tests, to be able to see how well things resolve after cure.

I can't wait for you to get started, we will all be so happy to see you in good health without this hep c on your back! biggrin C.

Yep, but I think if you can try to meet your water requirement an hour before lights out, you might get away with fewer trips after your bedtime visit to the john. Administration time in the evening has worked well for a lot of our members. It's really up to you, they don't present much in the way of side effects. As long as you do your part, the treatment will too. Stay compliant and pound the water. You'll get into a rhythm, I'm sure of it!

Good luck!

Greetings,

In all my years I have never said this....to a man.

Get ready to disrobe... a lot!

( I do remember telling Carolyn that some 39 years ago and she still ...)

Sorry.

You are going to need to drink a Gallon of Water a day. These drugs dehydrate one quickly.

A gallon a day is a lot of piss, hence a lot of disrobing in your case.

12 weeks is nothing and you can do this standing on your head.

Welcome to The Family.

JimmyK
