Hi Deb.    Now that your home, how are things going?  Is the wound healing up nicely?    You made it home about two weeks faster post L/T than I did!!   It was nice to see you over in Seattle, you are doing so well. Let us know how things are going.   RC

Hi Debra,

I’m sorry about the wound glitch, but it‘s not uncommon either. I had a incision open up on me, about 5 inches total. I had to do my own wound packing with saline, betadine and packing material. It didn’t hurt too much, certainly tolerable and it granulated (healed) fairly quickly. With the nature of your surgery, it’s good that a wound specialist is assisting you. It’s also nice that your Sister is there to help. Go Sis!

How wonderful to hear about your meet and greet with RC and Chris! If I ever make it back home to the PNW, I will surely try to do the same.

Keep the updates coming!

Well I am 3 weeks post op and one glitch so far...my incision opened up somewhat where they took the staples out and now I have to be seen in a wound clinic, not sure what that will be all about yet. Met with RC and Chris today for breakfast, absolutely wonderful people, I am so glad we got to meet and share some (most) of our journey to date. Heck of a way to meet people but for those of you that "know" them are well aware how kind, funny and knowledgeable they are. Well my sister has to help me with my first dressing change (pack the wound) now.....so I better her do her job...lol!
