Hi Brady!  Hi everyone!    Oh my, I believe I shall leave my Hep C story over on NOhep, in case anyone has a similar experience and is curious.

My tx story in a nutshell:

The usual Victrelis experience plus:

1.Terminated treatment at 16 weeks(?) due to damage to Rt. optic nerve.

2. I beat the virus anyway!

3. Still dealing with long term side efforts- anxiety & 'some' depression.

Live is good, I would do it all again in a hearbeat!

Iris,

You're not kidding! If we could sit down together and share with others, the hardships we experienced, the listening audience would think we were referring to some horror show! Imagine what people would think when those stories of Incivek side effects came out! The rectal problems come to mind more than anything. The itching, the rashes and profound fatigue would shake people to the core. I was on Victrelis, which had its own set of side effects.

If NOhep wants some anecdotal evidence, we could probably write a book on them. Big Pharm owes us all a prize for what we went through. Maybe that's how we can finally get that Cruise? wink

Hi Tig hope this blog finds you in good health and you are taking care of yourself and family, starting to get hot over here, air con sure makes a difference ,I will try not take too much of your time ,I had a bit of a breathing issue couple weeks ago ,I walked out of air con house nice an cool got in my car and had kinda like asthma attack ,so wife rang ambulance spent a week in hospital getting tests done , didn't really like being in hospital with covid about ,but hospital staff were great ,anyway I'm booked in to have a coronary angiogram apparently they send a very thin wire to heart thru artery in groin then put dye around heart to see if any heart muscle or any other problems,so can't say I'm really looking forward to it,what worries me is weather my immune system will be ok as IV had so many infections since doing the DAAs,my local gp hasn't much of an idea on the procedure his very young ,I realise you are not a dr but I thought maybe you may have heard of anyone having this angiogram done , apparently have to be awake, just hope they give me something to stop me stressing sorry to bother you,I realise you have more then your share of problems going on ,just would be interested in hearing any info.as I'm prone to getting infections apparently kidney infections can happen ,oh well ,thanks please try stay safe best wishes down under,

Hi Everyone, I received this message today from NOhep. They're a big voice and advocate for all Heppers. I know several of you have some real hair splitting stories, so I thought you might like to share it and maybe win a door prize, lol!

The World Hepatitis Alliance, NOhep and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine are collecting stories about hepatitis and we need your help!
