Mine's tangerine colored. I think I got jipped. The bottle says Nystatin. It does seem to be working. It's sweet and I swish and swallow. No lidocaine in it though. I'm just grateful it's not a pillbiggrin

     everyday it's another spin on the side effects wheel of fortune...ha-ha!

     before i started treatment my dentist  gave me the following 2 presriptions;sodium fluoride 1.1% dental paste and chlorhexidine gluconate oral

rinse 0.12%. the rinse along with hydrogen peroxide kills all sores and treats bacterial infections.

     started my dosages 2 days ago and am willing&ready to fight the next sx!

Hi Kellie, my mouthwash is a light red, almost a dark pink. I also has a lot of particulate throughout the whole bottle. The pharmacist said the particles were normal and to just be sure and shake it. Mine is a combination of Benadryl, Nystatin and Viscous Lidocaine. It's a nectar from the Gods when it comes to that oral thrush! What did they give you? Are there any ingredients or initials on the label?

Hey Kellie, I`m here for you all the way!!  You weren`t off-putting at all, it was probably me who came over as being a bit harsh.  I`m a nice person really!!  wink  Glad you`re starting to feel a bit better now, you must be so relieved to have got the incivek over and done with, and getting that good result must have been such a boost...makes it all seem worth while.  A good night`s sleep makes such a difference too. 

Yes, I do remember my eyesight feeling slightly weaker when I was on tx but it returned to normal afterwards so I didn`t need to change my prescription.  Do tell your nurse about any probs you`re having with your vision though.

You`re doing great, keep going!!

Kelilie,   glad that you're able to continue part of the treatment, keep singing- it's good for the soul, and don't forget to play the music loud if you are singing along...sounds so much better!

Thanks Jim for your positive energy! I'm so looking forward to the days when I can run around all day w/o getting tired. Also, looking forward to thinking clearer too. I swear when this is over y'all will see me on Jeopardy.biggrin

Congrats Kelilie,

Sometimes I think that damn riba is worse than the other drugs. It just wears you down so much.

But it is worth it all in the end. I kept saying to myself that the way I felt was only temporary and I would feel good again someday. And now I do feel good every day. It's worth the effort. Believe me.

Keep moving forward!

Thank you Jill for your support. I know in the beginning I was brusk and off putting with you. I'm sorry about that. biggrin I know you are in my corner. Now just 12 weeks of Riba and Interferon. I'm feeling better today. little by little. I'm actually sleeping 8 hours and the shot of interferon last Wednesday didn't affect me too much. I hope it continues. How was your eyesight during your treatment? It looks as though I'll need a stronger eye rx when this is through. As I recall, when I did the treatment in 03' the same happened. Did you need a stronger rx after your treatment? Kel

If you'd like to add some anesthetic to the mix, try the OTC brand of Cepacol Ultra spray. It has a 5% benzocaine ingredient that helped me a lot before I got the mouthwash with lidocaine. I'm sorry you're having this problem again. I wish I could do more to help. Keep in touch xo B

Hope the thrush gets better you've had a hard time of treatment so far.

A UND is good no matter what the week it is. ( I think it's your NP sense of counting that's off not yours ;)

Hopefully things will get better for the last 12 weeks, soon you'll be SVR and able to  Boogie with Stu ;)

Congrats on your 12 week UND result, Kellie, that`s great news, well done!  biggrin  Incivek is such a toxic drug and you did really well to stick it out as long as you did with all the sx probs you`ve been having.   Let`s hope things start getting easier for you now, once you`ve got the thrush under control.  Having a supportive NP you can trust makes such a difference, and being able to share with everyone here too makes it all that much easier to cope with.

Hello! Just got back from seeing my NP. 600 mg of Riba - sphere for the next week. Dose in the a.m. She won't start me again aggressively on it until next week. Then back to the 600mg in the a.m. and 400mg in the pm. I'll start back on the Pegasus tonight after a 8 day break. No reduction. 180 mcg.blankstare Just got the call 12 week UND . Funny, I thought I was on week 11.confuse

Oh yes, I also have a wonderful case of Thrush....great......I suspected it this a.m. maybe that's why my cheeks are still puffy. Sore's in the mouth. My sx from it are just like Tig's were. Nystatin suspension here I come. yum.....

My NP is really positive about it all and that transfers to me. I was feeling bad about the early discontinuation of the Incivik, but like Dillo say's anything over 8 weeks is icing on the cake. She's great. Anybody in SD who needs a good doc, ask, and I'll give you the info.

Re-visiting Led Zepplin's Physical Graffiti on the way to the doc's today. It seems the louder I play and the louder I sing with it the better I drive - Crazy, huh?? Good thing the clinic is closebiggrin Have a great day y'all Kel
