My first month of meds came from a different specialty pharmacy and the next month switched to another one. There was definitely a little tension between pharmacies, with the first one not wanting to give it up and making it overly complicated. . Anyway, now I just received my third month of meds and it...
Hi all, Is there anyway to know if you are getting the drug or just a placebo. I may get into a Merck trial with MK5172 & MK8742, no riba or INF. Getting a placebo would take me an additional 16 weeks before the real thing. Just curious if there's anything I can look for (if I get in of course). Finger...

As I have mentioned in a previous post, I had undergone tx twice previously. I lasted 12 weeks in 1995, (non peg Interferon), my ALT had dropped to 30, AST 32, only to climb back up, which I am guessing is why they discontinued at week 12. Fast forward to 1998 and non peg Interferon/Ribavirin and once a...
Hi all, Been keeping my eye out and this trial looks like it will be coming up as a phase 3 multi-center trial soon. I'm hoping to jump on it if I can. It is going to be an 8 week or a 12 week randomized trial. No Riba or Inf. Any thoughts on SVR in trials only lasting 8 weeks? Phase II SVR results I've seen fo...
My doc told me yesterday as an FYI, that the FDA is approving or has just approved olysio and sovaldi together.... i was surprised, they are from different companies and I thought they'd never even try to have them approved together,,....

We're waiting for an appointment with a GI dr. for our 2 year old foster daughter. We just had her tested and she's positive, either contracted at birth or through a needle stick before she was brought into care. I'm heartbroken. I know this is not a death sentence, but she did nothing to make this happen...

Hi, Forum members. I hope everyone is enjoying the spring weather (if it's spring in your part of the world), and that you're having more luck than I am getting therapy. I just found out that the OPTIMIST trial (Sovaldi + Olysio for treatment-naive genotype 1) is no longer recruiting. I've been follo...
Hello! I'm tgcd78. I'm on day 8 of the clinical trial OPTIMIST taking once a day Sovaldi (400mg) and Simeprevir (150mg). I feel so fortunate to be on this trial. I found out I was Hep C positive when I was pregnant with my first baby in 2008. I may have had Hep C all my life but never tested until then. ...

It's my 3rd day and I feel surprisingly good, but today I have been highly irritated at some people I work with. It's really hard to say whether this is the meds or not though because these people are just naturally annoying...throwing people under the bus in meetings and so forth. I think it's going t...
