Is anyone able to exercise while on treatment? Since I started 30 weeks ago, I can hardly go up a flight of stairs without getting winded. The lack of exercise seems to be taking a toll on me. Im gaining weight and transformed myself into a championship contender for the Couch Potato Olympics. Part of i...
Can anyone help explain the difference between riba rash and incivek rash? I have a few spots that have popped up and are itchy. I don't scratch and so far, cortizone cream has been okay. They usually flair after my shower.
This is Grenada on the coast of Lake Nicaragua. We stayed here for three days before moving on to Ometepe. I'm going to be uploading photos one at a time as the Internet service at the lodge I'm at is fairly slow. This is one of the many beautiful churches.
Hello everyone, This is my first time joining a hep c forum. I'm looking forward to speaking with people who are going thru the same or similar things that I'm going thru. I started triple therapy 3 days ago and I have to say reading some of these posts have helped me thru my anxiety. Thank you!
Any good suggestions for shampoo? I don't need thickening shampoo (yet), but my head itches. I am trying to wash my hair every other day to see if that helps.
If you're using Paracetamol (Tylenol) or similar, the best time to take it is 2 hours before your shot, thus preventing the symptoms rather than waiting for them to kick in Steff xx

Well, I woke up at 5:45 to get my day going. I have choked down my 20 g's of fat, 2 incivek and 3 riba. I have begun sipping water. I hope I can maintain this and I hope I can tolerate this treatment. My heart is pounding through my chest right now with anticipation. I want this virus gone! I will be an off...

I recently reviewed my blood work and in Aug 2012 my viral load was 5 mil. Then in dec 2012 it was 8 mil. That seems like quite a huge jump. Has anyone else experienced jumps like that in a short period of time? Same lab, same office, but different doctor. I am not very familiar with sensitivity tests.
Oh my gosh. So my husband and I are really upset right now. We received a very large bill from his doctor for the initial consultation. At this consultation, the doctor reviewed the blood work we faxed to him in order to tell us what treatment he needed to go on. The doctor may now not treat my husband,...

Well this is laura back with my husband Tom. Haven't been lurking on the site lately as I didn't want to add any more stress onto my husband. My side effects to treatment have not been what I have been expecting from reading other's experiences. I know I only started Friday and so things may be changing quite a bit. But I can only describe my reaction/side effects of the Ribavirin as "intoxicated' or 'tipsy'. I feel no stress; in fac...

I'm into my 2 week of Victrelis Boceprvir and will have my second PCR in January, It's not looking good. I was a slow responder last time and had break through in a 72 week trial the last try i...
I keep coming across people saying if you have no side effects from TX that that means it's not working. Is there any truth to this? Damn Google messing with my positivity
I am still undetectable! :) It has almost been 1 year since my first negative blood test so I hope it stays this way! My brother has 3 shots left too! Happy Holidays, Meghan
Dec. 25 2012 after a seven hour marathon of opening presents (we always say we will not get as much this year, but as always and being blessed with my daughter, son, daughterlaw and 2 beautiful grandchildren the gifts never stopped) when the last present was opened I felt this was my time, as I explaine...
Got the news the other day that I can consider myself cured of Hepatitis C! I will now say the treatment was worth it even though it didn't feel that way much of the time on triple (Insevek) therapy. So happy to have had so much loving support here. Bless you all! Kate

I am new to this forum. I began my ribavarin/Pegasus injections on January 14, 2013. I am genotype 2b, 48 years old in good health. I am just wondering if not experiencing the side effects which they warn us about means that the medication is not working. So far, I have only a slight headache. Does a...

Hello everyone, I am a geno 3 nullresponder. I was taken off tx after 14 weeks. I did not even have a 1 log drop. I kinda ran away and stuck my head in the sand for over a year. I was very bitter and knew there was nothing new available to retreat so I decided for my own mental health that I needed to distanc...
