I went to take my interferon and removed the cap off my auto injector and it was leaky. It stopped leaking and seemed fine but I took out another injection to use tonight instead. Just wondering if it's happened to anyone else and if it's a faulty pen or what? Hoping the pharmacy will replace it.
I know I haven't been on in quite a while. But I finally found a doctor to take me seriously. My rx has been sent to insurance and is waiting approval. I should get a call this coming week. I will be starting the triple therapy finally! The light at the end of my long tunnel is finally shining through. Keep me...

Hi All, My week 4 test came in today @ <43 and I have to admit I'm.... disappointed? Is that being unrealistic? I went from 37 million to 138 in 2 weeks. The RIBA rash has creeped onto my back. The itch that I can't reach is driving me nuts! Does the RIBA rash come and go, or am I going to have to put up with it for the entire treatment? I need to invest in a back scratcher, if my brain fog will allow me to actually remember that while I'm out so I can pick one up......

Hello everyone....I just have a quick question....what do you all eat when you take your Ribavirin? I take mine at 10am and 10pm. I got a little carried away there in the beginning, basically cooking myself a second dinner at 10pm every night so I gained a bit of weight but I'm starting to lose my appeti...
Julia has been waiting for the new medicines to come out so she won't have to take interferon. Now we read that the new medicines will cost $1000 a pill! Is this really true? Will the new medicines be too expensive? Will insurance not pay for them? thanks.

Dear all, I have been diagnosed with HCV in 2009, which I appear to have gotten in a hospital in the 80s, when I was a child growing up in Eastern Europe. I am a new member to this board but not new to HCV. I was diagnosed in 2000, genotype 1a. I've probably had HCV since the 70s.
