I am fuzy on the sx of Procrit--actually I am just fuzy about everything. But--how does it make you feel?--just did the 1st shot yesterday--at the doctor's office. I made my nurse so happy & proud--she said I shoot like a pro. And I felt somewhat energetic when I got home--had a delightful evening (...
Hello all, Ive managed to contact my nurse direct today--- cant believe, my results are now undetected am so pleased. 15 months post tx. We got a weird call from the liver doc today. My hubby is recovering from a severe allergic reaction to the Incivek that the liver doc mistook for congestive heart failure. But the primary recognized and treated it, and frankly we just chalked it up to a new med, and lack of experience. Today hubby go...
Well got a call from my nurse today with a report on my numbers AND the reason I am feeling better is my TSH has finally dropped and is getting much, much closer to normal. I have found in these early weeks that the absolute best weapon I have against beating this disease is staying mentally positive! Also doing the recommended things: drinking heaps of water, compliance with medication, talking with trusted others, eating as best as possible, mild exercise, and ju...

Isn't the tx for 28 weeks & why at week 12 would they need authorization again?? I am out of meds at the end of the week and reall...
My hemoglobin dropped another 5 points this week, down to 93. I am starting week 9 today. The top Dr in all of Sweden called me to discuss my concerns about lowering the dose. He said with the new drugs (Incivo/telaprevir) the reduction of Riba is not an issue in SVR for rapid responders. He seemed very cl...
Joined yesterday. started tx day before. I can't stop logging on to read what people are posting. I get comfort to see that sooooo many good people can support each other through this rather nerve racking experience.

I went to the doctor this morning to visit with the nurse practioner. She said my labs from last Monday look real good, and specifically my hematocrit was up to 40. This is almost normal for a regular guy. So before I knew what was going on I blurted out "So when do we up the ribavirin dose?" She w...

Anyone else experiencing High Uric Acid Levels due to Tx? The dr put me on Allopurinol but when I take it I start to itch, and I've been so so lucky with NOT itching on the Telaprevir that I hate to get it started because of this additional drug. Any ideas? thanks, Mark

We have all been through so much together it would be fun to actually meet eachother. I will be on the West coast this summer but...
